Student Expectations

Keep up with your lessons to avoid getting temporary zeros. You can refer to the lesson schedule (located on the Class Overview page) to see what lessons you should be on.

Read your webmail daily! You don't want to miss important announcements about help sessions, test corrections, or LiveLesson.

Attend LiveLessons! If you miss a LiveLesson you are expected to watch the recording before booking a 1-1 appointment.

If you are unhappy with your grade or assignment score let me know! I am happy to work with you 1-1 at INO, Office Hours, or by appointment.

Materials

Materials

All students will need a notebook for this class.  It is very important to write examples and practice problems down as you go!

You can use the free calculator at desmos.com or if you prefer to use a handheld calculator, please make sure it has graphing capabilities.  The graphing calculator at desmos.com is what I will be using in lessons.  It is also what you will have available to use for state testing at the end of the year.

Participation Grades

Participation points will be given for synchronous lesson attendance and participation. To earn these points, attend LiveLesson or watch the recording and complete the required Exit Ticket. LiveLesson attendance as tracked through Exit Tickets will be worth 10% of your grade. â€‹

Quick Checks

You will have a daily 5 question Quick Check to check for understanding on the assigned lesson. These assignments are multiple choice and students can improve scores by attempting the retake option in Formative.

Tests

On tests you can use a blank paper, pen or pencil, and calculator.

You may also use your personal notes but no other outside resources.

If you are unhappy with your score - please make corrections! I use Formative for all corrections and second-try assignments. Please see the instructions under the Corrections Tab on my Homepage.

Honor Code

Honor Code

Make sure you are adhering to the Honor Code. All tests and quick checks are closed book, and closed help. You need to do your own work with just a paper, pencil/pen, and a calculator. Use of any outside websites to include AI generated responses will result in zero grades and referrals to administration. You may call or webmail me for clarification at any time.
